Warren L. Belknap, of Ithaca, NY and formerly of Buffalo, NY a retired heating and cooling contractor died at home May 27, 2013. He was 91. He was a veteran of the Army Air Corps and served in England during WWII.
After the war, he married Norma L. Fryberger and they lived in the Buffalo area. He worked in the heating and air conditioning business for most of his life, starting with R.G. Reis & Sons. In 1969 he formed a partnership with Reginald Wardour called Wardour & Belknap Heating. The business became Warren Belknap Heating in 1976. He was an active trap shooter and fisherman and a member and past President of the North Forest Rod & Gun Club. In later years he became and avid golfer and a member of Tan Tara Golf Club.
In 1988 he married Ruth Bryant and moved to Ithaca, NY after retiring from the heating business. They wintered in Boynton Beach, FL for many years and he enjoyed golfing and gardening. He was active in the Small Comforts Foundation in Ithaca, NY where he served as a director.
His wife of 24 years, Ruth died December 27, 2012.
He is survived by his daughter Susan (Kenneth) Rawe, Alan (Angela) Belknap and Brian Belknap, his step-daughter Candice Cima, 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren; and a sister Carole Goosney and a pre-deceased sister Grace Isaacs.
