Timothy R. Seamon

December 16, 1965 — April 16, 2023

Locke, NY

On April 16, 2023, surrounded by his loved ones, Tim joined his daughter Rebecca Lynn in heaven.  Tim was a 1985 graduate of Lansing High School and the masonry program at TST BOCES.  Immediately following high school, he married Susan Wheeler in Lansing on July 21, 1985.

In 1986, Tim joined the International Union of Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers Local 17 in Ithaca, where he worked until 2018.  He was involved in many projects in the area, including the Tompkins County Jail, Tompkins County Mental Health, Eddygate Park Apartments, and the Statler Hotel at Cornell.  During his law few years in the union, Tim worked for his friend Andy Cornwell, owner of Renaissance Masonry.  After leaving the union, he went to work at Stonewell Bodies and Machine in Genoa until COVID19 closed down the world.

Tim is survived by his best friend and fur baby, Teddy; wife of 37 years, Susan; mother and stepfather, Dorothy and Gary Stroud; mother-in-law, Pat Wheeler; brother-in-law, Norman “Butch” Wheeler, Jr.; grandchildren, Cierra Payge, Brayden Parker and Kara Ann; stepson, Jon Ross; son-in-law, Harold Rumpff; and siblings, Jackie Hutton and Steve, Marty and Mike Seamon.

Paving his way to heaven were his father, Robert Seamon; brothers, Ricky and Robert Seamon; best friend, Lynn Eastman, Jr.; father-in-law, Norman Wheeler, Sr.; and most recently, his daughter Rebecca Lynn Rumpff.

Before his illness, Tim enjoyed horseshoes and taking his grandchildren fishing.  When he became too ill to leave the house, he enjoyed Disney movies, John Wayne, and birdwatching.

Thank you to Hospice of CNY and his caregivers, Pat Wheeler and Mickey Hultz Lowe.  Thank you also to Kyle Sharp at Lansing Funeral Home for his amazing care for us during this sad time.

Per Tim’s wishes, there will be no services.

Every morning, there was a goodbye hug, kiss, and an “I love you.”  Please continue this in your daily routine in his honor.
