Susan R. Nohelty

Susan Rebecca Nohelty of Interlaken passed away on Saturday, October 23, 2021, at the age of 72.

Susan was born on June 19, 1949, the daughter of the late Bernard and Ida Friedman. She was an avid reader and lifelong student. Following a full career as a nurse and patient advocate, Susan completed her doctorate in Public Health. She then continued her professional career by imparting this cherished education to the next generation of healthcare students. Even closer to her heart were her family and pets. She had an infectious laugh and touched so many lives with her genuine spirit, kind heart, and an uncanny ability to cut through any pretense. To know Susan was to love her. She will be deeply missed.
Susan is survived by her children: Michael Freidkin, Andrea (Bill) Howey, Shari (Chris) Noe, Russell (Karen) Nohelty, and Elizabeth (Marc) Romano; ten grandchildren: Benjamin, Jacob, Billy, Alexa, Addison, Tyler, Max, Nicolas, Nina, and Sofia; brother, Barry (Barbara) Friedman, and sister, Debbie (Mario) Iwanczuk; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Susan was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James A. Nohelty, her brother, Malcom Friedman, and sister, Rosalie (Doll) Laboe.
