Rosemary L. Turk, 59, of Brooktondale, died Tuesday, April 02, 2013, at her home with her loving family by her side. Born February 9, 1954 in Ithaca, she was a daughter of Lorraine Reeves Houston and the late LeRoy A. Grover; and wife of the late Marvin L. Turk.

Rosemary attended school in Ithaca. She was employed by the Ithaca City School District, where she was in charge of the kitchen at Belle Sherman Elementary School for almost 30 years. Rosemary enjoyed bowling and doing crossword puzzles. She also loved collecting owl paraphernalia. She took great pride in being a mother to her sons. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

In addition to her mother and step-father, Lorraine and Gilbert Houston of Candor, Rosemary is survived by her three sons; Marvin E. (Jennifer) Turk of Tioga, Brian L. Turk of Brooktondale, and Christopher J. Krellner of Slaterville Springs; siblings, Michael (Heidi) Grover of Fayetteville, PA, Ramona Hooton of Spencer, Roxanne (Randy) Smith of Newfield, Rita (Tim) Fenner of Groton, Robert (Tracey) Murray of Richmond, KY, Thomas (Colleen) Murray of Owego; step-brothers, Gilbert, Jr. (Betsy) Houston, of Candor, Thomas (Virginia) Houston of Spencer and Scott Houston of Newark Valley; aunts, Catherine Reeves of Petaluma, CA, Josephine Wright of Trumansburg and Dorothy (Carl) Ward of Suffolk, VA; uncles, Chuck (Judy) Frost of McLean, Roger Frost of Truxton and Joe Mikula of Trumansburg; brother-in-law, Edward (Tina) Turk of Lodi; Christopher’s father, John Krellner of Slaterville Springs; as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.

Family will be present to receive friends on Sunday, April 7th from 1 -3pm at Lansing Funeral Home, 32 Auburn Rd., Lansing, NY. A private graveside service will be held at Frear Memorial Park at the convenience of the family.
