Robin Jeanette Mack Zifchock, 61, of Lansing, NY, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, September 21, 2025, in her apartment in Hamburg, NY, following a cardiovascular event. She was born in Ithaca on December 14, 1963, to Robert and Darlene Mack.
Robin graduated from Lansing High School in 1982. Having spent most of her youth on Cayuga Lake, she was on the Lansing Varsity Swim Team and a certified Lifeguard. She enjoyed water skiing and water sports on Cayuga Lake in the summer and snow skiing at Greek Peak in the winter. She passed those passions and others on to her children. Robin cherished time spent at her family property on the lake and was most relaxed and at peace being there. In her earlier years Robin spent some time traveling around the states to Florida and California as well as across Europe including Germany, France, Spain and the Canary Islands.
Robin was a beloved mother and grandmother who selflessly dedicated her life, time, and energy to raising her two children. She was an involved hockey mom and Cub Scout den leader. She found great joy in helping people, offering anything she had, doing all that she could to make the world a better place. Often she was found caring for her plants, listening to live music, and enjoying the moments of sunshine at her lake-front apartment in Hamburg.
Known for her creative artistic talent she was a passionate designer. Owning her own graphic design company was a highlight of her career and allowed her to do what she loved while being home to raise her children. She was an avid amateur art enthusiast who loved going to galleries, taking in a show, and appreciated chasing down good book or movie recommendations from her friends and family.
Robin is survived by her children, Justina (Nick) and Kyle; her grandchild, Atlas; her siblings, RJ (Laurie) and Randa (Curt); and her father, Robert. She also leaves behind her niece, Annie; nephews, Johnny, Bradley, and Jacob; and her long-time friend and father of her children, Gregory.
Robin was preceded in death by her mother, Darlene; her sister-in-law, Suzanne; and her long-time friend, Christian.
Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours 9:00am - 11:00am with services to follow at 11:00 am on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at Lansing Funeral Home. A celebration of life will follow at Garretts Brewery in Trumansburg, NY, on the same day at 2:00 pm.
