Trumansburg

Richard L. Cook “Rich”, age 51, of Trumansburg, passed away March 7, 2016, as the result of injuries from an ATV accident. 

Born July 31, 1964, Rich was the son of Richard C. Cook, who survives him, and the late Janette Predmore Ward.  A lifelong area resident and 1982 graduate of Trumansburg High School, Rich had been employed with the Painter’s Union Local 178 in Ithaca.

In addition to his father, Rich is survived by a brother, Jay (Kim) Cook, their daughters, Megan and Jessica all of Trumansburg; niece, Alana Ward; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. 

Rich was preceded in death by his mother, Janette, and a brother, Larry D. Ward.

No immediate services are planned. However, the family is planning a gathering to honor Rich at a later date, and it will be announced at that time.

Rich’s family would like to express their gratitude to the many family members and friends who have been so supportive during Rich’s hospitalization.
