Michelle Simone of Lansing, NY, passed away on Friday, May 12, 2023, in Ithaca, NY. Born September 4, 1951, in Greenwich, CT, she was the daughter of John E. Simon and June Schinto. After working at Tompkins County Public Library in Ithaca, Michelle went on to earn her Master of Library and Information Science from Dominican University and began working as a librarian in 2008 at Barry Public Library in Barry, IL.
Michelle is surived by her son, Jesse; daughter, Arcadia; sisters, Grace and Amy; and brother, Anthony.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Reverend Jorge Ramirez at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 16, 2023, at All Saints Parish, 347 Ridge Road, Lansing, NY 14882. Interment will immediately follow at Greensprings Natural Cemetery Preserve, 293 Irish Hill Road, Newfield, NY 14867.
