LANSING – Mary Louise Lee (née Streeter), 78, passed away on May 15, 2022. Mary Lou, a teacher, was deeply loved by her family, students and community alike. She enjoyed performing and listening to music, reading, sewing and baking, especially for the holidays. She loved traveling to destinations both close and far. In retirement, she enjoyed traveling via cruise line with close friends. She was an active member of the Lansing United Methodist Church where she performed in the Bells Angels Choir and played clarinet in the holiday music ensemble. Later, she taught at Groton Central School District as a reading specialist until her retirement.

Mary Lou was the beloved wife of James Lee, who she married on July 30, 1966 at the Evangelical United Brethren Church in Beaver Falls, New York, and loving mother to Brian (Beth) and Jeff (Kim). She was the adored grandmother of Madeleine, Rory, Julia, Samantha and Mandy, always making sure each had a card with a special note for all the major holidays.
