Linda J. Strauf

Linda Jean (Philip) Strauf, 83, of Lansing, NY passed away at home on February 19, 2026. Linda was born on February 19, 1943 in Ithaca, NY to the late Samuel and Mildred (Emmenegger) Philip. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Strauf; son, James Michael Strauf; son-in-law, Dwight Usherwood; brothers, James Philip, Tony Philip and David Hans; sister, Jennifer Merrill; and niece, Jennifer (Philip) Savage.

Linda and her husband Glenn owned and operated G&L Trucking, Inc. alongside their children and grandchildren. Linda also owned “Linda’s Corner Diner” in North Lansing, which was her pride and joy. She spent countless hours in the diner, enjoying her customers and making her pies!

Linda is survived by her children, Deborah Usherwood and Elizabeth Strauf; grandchildren, Zachary (Sandra) Eastman and Matthew (Vanessa) Eastman; great-grandchildren, Tyler, Kamryn and Wyatt Eastman; sister, Donna Lowry; and many nieces and nephews and a large extended family.

In keeping with Linda’s wishes, services will be private for the family. She will be laid to rest next to her husband Glenn in Ludlowville Pine Grove Cemetery in Lansing.
