Lawrence J. Maraia

Lawrence J. “Larry” Maraia, a longtime resident of Ithaca, passed away peacefully at his home on September 9, 2024, at the age of 76. Born on February 17, 1948, in the Bronx, NY, he was the son of the late Laurence J. Maraia and Marie Eve (Indelicato) Weissman. For several decades, Larry was employed by The Antlers restaurant—a job that brought him much joy and created lasting friendships.

Larry was a devoted son and brother. He is survived by his siblings, Steven Weissman (Michele Norton), Dorian Kristiansen, and Vicki Lynch.

In keeping with Larry’s wishes, there will be no public calling hours or services. In his memory, please think of him or offer a toast the next time you dine at The Antlers.
