Katrina S. “Kitty” Neff, age 57, of Lansing, passed away peacefully at home with family at her side on November 30, 2016. 

Born Katrina Sue Cooper on December 15, 1958, in Rockford, IL, she was the daughter of Sue Taylor and Fred Cooper, who survive her.  At a young age, Kitty moved with her family to Phoenix, AZ, and later returned to Rockford, IL where she started her family and was employed as a precision aerospace machinist.  Several years later, Kitty moved back to the Phoenix area, and ultimately relocated to NY State, where she eventually met and married her husband, Pat.  Kitty’s diverse employment history included Cornell Life & Safety, Groton Nursing Facility, court transcription and, since 2003, as an administrative Assistant with Cornell University’s Classic’s Department.  Kitty was also a member of Ithaca Elk’s Lodge # 636.

In addition to her parents, Kitty is survived by her husband, Pat Neff; son Jeremy; step-son Jimmy; granddaughter, Theresa; a brother, Curtis; sister, Lynette; and a large extended family. 

Kitty was preceded in death by a son, Jason; a sister, Lisa; and brother, Michael.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Ithaca Elk’s Lodge #636, 124 Coddington Rd., Ithaca, NY 14850.

Family will be present to receive friends from 4 -7 pm, Monday, December 5th at Lansing Funeral Home, 32 Auburn Rd., Lansing, NY.
