Jonah D. Maine, Sr.

Jonah D. Maine, 83, of Lansing, NY, passed away on January 7, 2026, surrounded by his family. He was a devoted husband, father, brother, grandfather and great grandfather.

Jonah is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Susan (Cornell) Maine; his children, Carrie (Randy Adams), Jonah (Theresa), Kevin (Lori), and loving pup, Loretta; siblings, Robert (Audrey), Edward, and James; and grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Jonah was predeceased by his parents, Robert and Carrie Maine; siblings, Myrtle Buckingham, Peggy Boutatwelli, Alvin Ross, Floyd, Marshall, Gene, Roger and Richard.

Jonah enjoyed going to the casinos, watching NASCAR races, and sitting outdoors and watching nature.

He will be missed but remembered for always being there for those in need. The impressions he made on everyone will live on forever.

In keeping with with Jonah’s wishes, there will be no services.
