Jon N. Widercrantz, 70, of Ithaca, NY, passed away peacefully at home on the morning of Sunday, July 5, 2026.

Family and friends are invited to attend Jon's burial service on Friday, July 10, 2026, at Greensprings Natural Cemetery Preserve, 293 Irish Hill Road, Newfield, NY 14867. In keeping with Jon's wishes, he will be laid to rest in a linen shroud without a casket.

Guests are asked to arrive at 10:00 a.m., with the burial service beginning at 10:30 a.m. Because the cemetery is a natural meadow, attendees are encouraged to wear appropriate footwear and dress for the possibility of rain.

Following the burial, family and friends are invited to gather for a time of sharing, remembrance, and refreshments from 12:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the American Legion Post 221, 1231 Danby Road, Ithaca, NY 14850. Those attending may also wish to bring a change of clothing in the event of wet weather.
