John W. Malley, Jr.

John W. Malley, Jr. passed away at home in Lansing on September 12, 2016, at the age of 75.

Born March 24, 1941, in Cortland, John was the son of the late John Malley Sr. and Izora Hand Malley.  A graduate of Lansing High School, John served his country in the US Navy, and had been employed by, and retired from, the US Postal Service as a mail carrier. 

In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by a brother, Rick; sisters, Ann, Jeanne, Laura, Georgia and Pat.

He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Roberta Hagin Malley; his children, Renée Craig (Tony) of San Antonio, TX, Dana Malley (Connie) of Ithaca; step children, Doug Hagin (Sandy) of Ithaca, Phyllis Haynor (Daryl) of Oakton, VA, Bill Hagin (Jo) of Ithaca; grandchildren, Brandon and Sterling Craig, Nicolas and Kristin Haynor, Casey and Kelsey Hagin; and a brother, Reginald Malley (Janice) of Germantown, MD.

John had suffered with many illnesses for the past ten years.  May he rest in peace forever.

A private graveside service, with Military Honors, will be held at North Lansing Cemetery.  Lansing Funeral Home is assisting the family.
