Jeanne H. Washburn

Jeanne Hoag Washburn, 82, passed away on Monday, July 7, 2025.

Born in Buffalo, NY on November 19, 1942, to the late Robert and Eleanor Baker Hoag, Jeanne graduated from Norwich High School and married Leslie E. Washburn in 1961. The couple raised their family and worked at Norwich Eaton Pharmaceuticals until Les’ death in 1994. Shortly thereafter, Jeanne moved to Bunn, NC where she enjoyed a second career with the NC State Department of Education until her retirement in 2009.

Jeanne enjoyed travelling throughout the US and beyond, taking trips to Europe with Connie, Ireland and Scotland with Pat, Alaska with Jamie, and Ireland and Scotland again with Nicole. When she wasn’t travelling, she loved spending time with both her immediate and extended family.

Jeanne is survived by her son, Patrick (Jamie) Washburn; daughter, Connie (Greg) Horne; grandchildren, Nicole Washburn, Allison Washburn and Rhyleigh Horne; brother, Robert (Linda) Hoag; and sister, Sandra Fedigan.

In addition to her parents and husband Les, Jeanne was predeceased by her daughter, Bonnie Washburn.

Family and friends are invited to a period of visitation from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 24, 2025, at Lansing Funeral Home, 32 Auburn Road, Lansing, NY.
