Formerly Lansing and Ithaca, NY

Douglas R. Clark, 90, formerly of Lansing and Ithaca died on 6/20/23 in Cape Coral, FL after a brief illness.  He was born in Buffalo, NY to the late George, Jr. and Arline (Cook) Clark of Kenmore, NY.  He was a graduate of Kenmore High School and Alfred State University.  Doug served in the US Army from 1953 to 1955, stationed at Ft Dix, NJ.  He worked as the Manager of the Water and Sewer Treatment Facility at Cornell University from 1968 until his retirement in 1995 where he got the nickname ‘Mr. Clean”.  His facility was so immaculate that a person could eat off the floor.  He prided himself on keeping an outstanding workplace for his employees.

He is predeceased by his wife Roselyn.

He is survived by his sister Pat Piper of Richmond, VA, and his children, Susan Clark (James Emo) of Canisteo, NY, Robert Clark (Kelly) of Newcastle, WA, Christine Balch (Andrew) of Babcock Ranch, FL, John Arsenault (Rebecca) of Dryden, NY, Melissa Kutka (Patrick) of Glastonbury, CT, and David Arsenault of Brooktondale, NY.

He is also survived by his grandchildren, Jack, Grace, Cooper, Caleb, Riley, Christopher and Matthew.

A special thank you to Laurie Conlon, Lansing, NY, a special friend and caregiver to Roz & Doug.

A special thank you goes out to all the employees at Classen Home Health Care who played an important role in Doug and Roz’s life.

He was a man of strong faith, a Proud Veteran and he thought pizza was a food group.  He loved spending time with family and had a great sense of humor.

Lansing Funeral Home is assisting the family.  There are no calling hours.  A graveside service will be held at a later date to be determined by the family.

Donations may be made to Brookton Cemetery, P.O. Box 112, Brooktondale, NY 14817, or Dryden Veterans Memorial Home, 2272 Dryden Rd., Dryden, NY 13053.
