David O. Sill, 69, of Lansing passed away peacefully at the home of his daughter in Newfield on Saturday, September 2, 2017.

Born October 15, 1947, at home in Sherwood, NY, David was a son of the late Robert Sr. and Charlotte Chaffee Sill. At a young age, he went to work at Cargill where he dedicated over 43 years of service in various capacities. Over the past several years, David was thoroughly enjoying retirement. He enjoyed meeting his regular morning coffee crew at the XtraMart, and tinkering with his tractors or going to an occasional auction. David was an honest, genuine man who was deeply devoted to his family. His presence is, and will be, immeasurably missed.

David is survived by his loving wife, Susan Sill; daughter, Barbara (Lou) Koconis, with children, Dylan, Danny & David Monroe and Louie Koconis; son, Robert (Kelly) Sill, Sr., with children, Robert Jr., Diamond & Taylor Sill; daughter, Angela Sill, with children, Keagan & Kyle Hamilton; step daughters, Debi Smith-Sanchez, with children, Juan & Anna; Melissa Brotherton, with children, Ashley, David & Ella; and Fran McMahon, with children, Heather, Toni & Danielle. David is also survived by his brothers, Joseph Sill and John (Rita) Sill; as well as a large extended family and many friends.

In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his brothers, Robert Sill Jr., Gordon Sill, and a sister, Pauline Frost.

A memorial service, officiated by Pastor John Sotero, will begin at 2pm, September 9, 2017, at Ithaca First Assembly of God, 197 Bostwick Rd., Ithaca, NY.
