Charles A. "Bud" Emerick

Charles A. “Bud” Emerick, of Asbury Rd., Lansing, NY, passed away April 6, 2012, at the age of 78. Born April 29, 1933 in Loganton, PA, he was the son of the late Sherman and Lena (Douty) Emerick. Bud proudly served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a dedicated fireman with the City of Ithaca for over 27 years, retiring in 1987. In addition to his parents, Bud was preceded in death by a sister, Louise Stanion. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Jane (Green) Emerick; daughter, Colleen Emerick; son-in-law, Peter Daniluk; son, Douglas (Theresa) Emerick; grandchildren, Eustina Daniluk , Nicholas Daniluk, Brian Emerick, and Brandon Emerick; a sister, Tina (Winton) Williams; several nieces, nephews, and a close family friend, Rick (Denise) Sharp. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Edward Sharp Scholarship Fund, c/o Ithaca Professional Firefighters, PO Box 711, Ithaca, NY 14851.

A private graveside service will take place at Pine Grove Cemetery, Lansing, NY.  Lansing Funeral Home is assisting the family.
