Carole Elizabeth Bowman, age 80, passed away unexpectedly in Charlotte, NC on November 10, 2021.
Carole was born at a VA Hospital in Utica, NY on May 23, 1941, to Ralph and Emily Elizabeth Quick.
Carole was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce Bowman; father, Ralph Quick; mother, Emily Quick; sister, Lucille Robin; brother, Ralph Quick; nephew, Josiah Robin; and grandson, Zachary Bowman.
Carole is survived by her sister, Joan Quick; brother, Robert Quick (Marjorie); sister, Marjorie Hotelling (Jamie); brother-in-law, Donald Robin; sister-in-law, Charlene Quick; her son, Barry Bowman (Kim) and grandchildren Katherine Potvin, Barry Bowman, Jr. and Nate Bowman; her son, Brian Bowman (Rachel) and grandchildren Mya Willey, Jadyn Willey, Tayton Bowman, Saydee Willey and Sawyer Bowman; her daughter, Rebekah (Bowman) Loparco (Jon) and grandson Jonah Loparco; and her daughter, Collette Bowman (Wade) and grandchildren Micah O'Brien, Alexa O'Brien, Mattea Lajza, Skye Mosley, Raine Mosley and her foster daughter, Laura Morales. Carole is also survived by many cousins, nephews, nieces and her daughter-in-law, Lisa Bowman.
Carole enjoyed life to the fullest and she was always up for a new adventure. She liked to sew and craft, and loved to write. She recently had published a book that she wrote long ago, "Treasures From My Heart to Yours". It was published on October 4, 2021, which was a one of her lifelong dreams. Carole loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She loved to cook for her family and was known for her famous BLTs, goulash and macaroni salad! She always loved to serve people.
Carole and Bruce made it easy for everyone to remember their birthdays and anniversary. (May 23rd, June 23rd and July 23rd). They were married for just over 62 years, and Carole passed just 3 weeks and 5 days after Bruce.
A brief graveside service will be held at Pine Grove Cemetery in Lansing on December 4, 2021 at 12:00 p.m. A Celebration of Life will take place immediately following at 1:00 p.m. at Cornerstone Covenant Church in King Ferry.
