Calvin Stewart

Calvin Stewart, 53, of Genoa passed away surrounded by loved ones on Wednesday, November 3, 2021.

Calvin left an impression on almost everyone he came into contact with. He always had the ability to make you laugh and almost everyone who ever met him has a great story about him. His personality was infectious and he was a good friend to all.

He was an avid video game player and he loved smokin his bud. He spent hours in his garden, with the insane ability to bring plants back from the dead. He was constantly singing and loved rocking out to music with his kids.

Calvin married Katharyn Purser on August 29th, 2012, and to this union four daughters were born: Gracie, Mina, Finley, and Delta. Calvin also has a daughter, Brittany Levestone, of the Bronx.

In addition to his wife and five beautiful daughters, he is survived by his granddaughter, Aubrie, of the Bronx; his "brother", Andy Rivera, of Manhattan; many siblings, aunts, cousins, nieces, and nephews; and his beloved bathrobe. He was predeceased by both of his parents, Calvin Jackson and Shirley Stewart, and a sister, Nina.

Calling hours will be held at Lansing Funeral Home, 32 Auburn Road, Lansing, on Thursday, November 11, 2021, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. A public reception will immediately follow at 5 p.m. at Crossroads Bar and Grille in Lansing.
