Beatrice A. Schultz

Beatrice A. Schultz of Lansing, passed away peacefully at home, with family by her side, on June 14, 2017, at the age of 81.

Born September 23, 1935 in Cuba, NY, Bea was one of seven children of Orie and Verna Wilcox Kingan.  

She loved Cuba Lake and enjoyed going back to visit.  While living in Cuba, she worked at the Cuba Cookie Factory.  Once moving to Ithaca, she worked at Leonard’s coffee shop and the Pocket Book Factory.  She enjoyed working but her true love was children, so when the opportunity to work for Lansing Central School arose she jumped at it, she continued to work at the school and was there for over 22 years until she retired.  She often met her “kids” in public who all still knew her

In addition to her parents, Bea was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew (Gene) E. Schultz, two brothers and four sisters.

She is survived by her daughter, Laurel S. Kenerson of Enfield; son, David E. Schultz (Lisa) of Lansing; grandchildren, Jonathan Schultz, Kyle Kenerson (Chrissy), Corey Kenerson, John and Justin Dufresne, Abigail Craig; three great grandchildren; and a large extended family.  

Family will be present to receive friends from 5-6pm, Wednesday, June 21st at Lansing Funeral Home, 32 Auburn Rd., Lansing, NY, followed by a reception at North Lansing Fire Hall.
