Donald William Isenbarger, age 85, of 435 Etna Rd., Ithaca, NY, died on Sunday, June 13, 2010, at Cayuga Medical Center in Ithaca, NY.


Born at home in Lansing, NY, on April 19, 1925, he was a son of the late John W. and Grace E. (Bright) Isenbarger.  Don worked as a welder for Allen Whales and later as an electrician at Cornell University.  He also owned a lawn mower business, Ridge Road Mowers, for many years.  Don will be remembered for his extraordinary ability to fix just about anything that was broken as he truly was a jack of all trades.  His innovative creativity and artistry were evident with the many projects and inventions he worked on throughout his lifetime.  He enjoyed his retirement traveling the United States with his companion, Gloria, and managing their two mobile home parks, one in Ithaca, and another in Florida.


Don was preceded in death by his wife, Elsbeth Isenbarger; his longtime companion, Gloria Farrell; and his brother, Verlin Isenbarger.


Don is survived by his three daughters, Bonnie (Bill) Biata, Holly (Jim) Fedorka and Donette Hanna; several grand and great grandchildren and two nieces.  He is also survived by Gloria’s children, Dan Farrell, Tim Farrell, Rebecca Bower and Andy Farrell.

Family will be present to receive friends on Wednesday, June 16, 2010, from 4-7pm at Lansing Funeral Home, 32 Auburn Rd., Lansing, NY.

A funeral service, officiated by Rev. Meredith Ellis, will be held on Thursday, June 17, 2010, at 11am at Lansing Funeral Home.  Burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery in Lansing.
