Richard Bradley Royer

ITHACA - Richard Bradley Royer, formerly of Malvern, PA, died peacefully at his home in Ithaca, NY, on January 3, 2010, with his family by his side.
Bradley was born in Wellesley, MA, on September 10, 1922, the eldest son of Minerva and Frank C. Royer. He graduated from The Haverford School and received a BA from Haverford College and Master's degrees in business from The Wharton School and Michigan State University. He served in the Army from 1943 to 1946. He was employed by ACME Markets and Taylor Publishing.
Bradley was predeceased by his wife, Ann Susskind Royer; and his brothers, John E. Royer and Frank C. "Dick" Royer, Jr. He is survived by his three daughters, Mary Royer (Nelson Burdick) of Ithaca, NY, Susan Royer (Randy Aubrecht) of Upper Montclair, NJ, and Isabel Welland (David) of Austin, TX; the mother of his children, Elizabeth Royer of Bryn Mawr, PA; five grandchildren, Alexander Burdick, William and Sarah Aubrecht, and Margaret and Charles Welland. He is also survived by four stepchildren, Christine Maerker (Tom) of Tucson, AZ, Todd Hopkins (John) of Orangeville, PA, Bayne Belair (Scott) of Ridgewood, NJ, and Wade McDevitt (Wendy) of Devon, PA; and seven step-grandchildren, Emily, Anna, and Molly Hopkins; Zach, Laura, and Wade Belair, and Colter McDevitt.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospicare of Tompkins County, 172 East King Rd., Ithaca, NY 14850. A memorial service will be held in Philadelphia in the coming months.
